The first thing to jump out at me about the picture was that the reflection in the mirror is out of focus, this immediately diverts the viewer's attention from what would normally be the main part of the photograph and refocuses it on the small picture the girl is holding in her hand, which would normally be a smaller and less noticeable feature of the photo. This effect is even further emphasized by the bright lighting that surrounds the reflection in the mirror, which is very effective at drawing all of the viewer's attention to the reflection and in turn, to the picture being held.
The picture is also framed in a way that causes it to be tilted slightly to the left. This causes the viewer's eye to move to the left, which is where the mirror and small pictures are. This also causes the viewer to naturally follow the line of small pictures, similar to the one the girl is holding in her hand, that line the bottom of the mirror. This line ends in a handwritten note, which because of the slight tilt of the photo, becomes a place of emphasis for the viewer.
The photo also from the point of view of the girl looking in the mirror. This causes the viewer to see what the girl looking in the mirror does. This doesn't change where the viewer focuses on the image, but it does change how they perceive different effects in the picture. This effect is extremely important in the context of rhetorical analysis.
